"Folder cannot be opened because there is a configuration problem on the server"
One of my Outlook users is having problem with invites not going into their Calendar. If I go to Outlook > Tools > Options > Calendar Options > Resource Scheduling On their machine, I see the following error: "Folder cannot be opened because there is a configuration problem on the server" I have recreated their Outlook profile, set them to Online mode, moved their mailbox to another server in the same site etc, but nothing is helping. Does anyone know what this 'configuration problem' actually is? And what can I do to fix it? Is it actually a problem with the mailbox server or with a CAS or something? Running Exchange 2007 SP2 and Outlook 2007 SP2.

Hi Our CEO is having a strange problem with his Outlook. If he opens some meetings in his Outlook and looks at the Scheduling Assistant, then for about half the meetings, he will not be able to see anyone else's Free/Busy, including his own. Other times, he will open some meetings and he can. For the meetings where he can't see people's F/B, if he then tries to create a new meeting and chooses one of those peolpe, he'll be able to see their F/B ok again. I created a profile for him on my Outlook and can see exactly the same problem. I don't believe OWA has a way to view the Scheduling Assistant for meetings. Running Test-EmailAutoconfiguraiton from his Outlook seems to be fine, we can run Autodiscovery without any issues. I have moved him to a different store on the same Exchange server to see if that would clear this, but it hasn't. One thing I do notice is that if I go to Outlook > Tools > Options > Calendar Options > Resource Scheduler, I recv a message saying that the folder couldn't be opened due to a configuration issue on the server, but that's about it. Environment is Exchange 2007 SP2/Outlook 2007 SP2

Hi, From your description, you need to check the following: <1>Check whether the issue occurs in OWA <2>Use a problematic account, remove all outlook add-ins, restart the Outlook to monitor if the problem persists <3>Check the application logs related to free/busy information, and post them Wait for your reply.
